Cow spiracy The Sustainability Secret Please watch, this is very very important
This is from their facebook. I know it was on my mind, so it might be on yours and might be the reason you WON’T watch. Have a little reassurance and then DO watch:
Cowspiracy. Folks, this is NOT a film about Animal Abuse and Neglect. This is a film about the Bigger Picture, what we have to do as a species to react to the destruction that is happening on our planet due to the global impact of animal agriculture.
I can see why people are assuming it is about animal cruelty. The poster and title can lead one to draw that conclusion. I’ve heard four different times today that people aren’t going to see the film because they don’t want to see a film about animal cruelty and neglect. And thank you to those brave people who came forth and told me that, while so many others couldn’t. It makes sense to me. Who typically becomes vegetarians and vegans? Primarily people who can’t stand to see animals suffer, right? Well, then it makes perfect sense that those people don’t want to plunk down $12.00 to make a night out of watching animals suffer. They are very sensitive to that. Well, folks, I’m hear to tell you that you won’t make a night of it. I’ve done a lot of research today, and this is what I’ve uncovered. This film is NOT about animal abuse and neglect. There is only one very short clip in the film that shows overt animal cruelty. It’s hard to do a film about animal factory farming without touching upon that at all. But know that you will know when it’s coming, and you’ll have time to turn away if you need to. It’s short, and it’s followed by a joyous animal scene. So there you have it.
